This heart of stone sleeps inside me
cold
unmoving
sad
until you touch me…
When your hand reaches for mine
it turns on the furnace.
My skin heats.
I try to cool it off by breathing but then…
you kiss me.
My heart awakes and beats hard and fast
making up for the lost time spent in slumber.
You pull me close.
I can barely stand it.
The temperature reaches new heights
and I’m melting.
Melting that stone lump of a heart into white-hot molten rock.
Burning inside me,
begging me,
screaming for more.

The idea is a bit worn, but I love the pacing.
The rhythm of the piece makes it.
If you add some "..." it'd improve the piece.
Try reading it aloud and see if you can write it that way.
